The Oculus in New York City

Architecture: An architecturally impressive transportation hub with a steel rib roof designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.

Function: It is a major transportation hub for PATH trains to New Jersey and several subway lines, providing underground passageways to other stations.

Shopping center: It also houses a shopping center known as Westfield World Trade Center, with numerous stores and restaurants.

Access: It provides access to the World Trade Center office towers and is connected to Brookfield Place via the West Concourse.
